SUPPLIES AT HOME

Dear Parents,

PLEASE supply your child with paper and pencil at home. This is your responsibility to have the required supplies for your child to SUCCEED in school. They do have homework assignments that require line paper and they ARE NOT allowed to take these from my classroom.

PROJECT: Timeline

Dear Parents,

Please look at this weeks newsletter... Your child has a PROJECT that is DUE on DECEMBER 12th, 2008. This project will be counted as TWO grades... The grade goes with Language Arts-Writing and Social Studies.

Your child will has been assigned a STATE already and has begun with the research.

Please ASK your child what they need to help them succeed and PLEASE help them.

Computer Difficulty

Dear Parents,

I am experiencing "computer difficulty" with this weeks news letter. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Letter to the Teacher, S.R.E. - Example

I would like to share with you an example of "Letter to the Teacher", (S.R.E.) which stands for "Statement, Response, Evidence". The students are learning how to become "Critical Thinkers" in todays society. This particular work helps the student to become a more "Independent Thinker", while providing evidence to support their personal thoughts. Please understand, the student is required to have their own opinion to support a strategy, which is on the first page 1-10, that is given to them as a part of homework.
