World of Nations - Ireland

During the week of May 26th – 29th, San Jose is celebrating "World of Nations", and our class has picked Ireland as our Country. Each student will participate in this event through "role-playing" as an “expert” for their “specialty” about Ireland’s facts, myths, weather, population, culture, food, etc… Please ask your child to rehearse their part with you so they will become very comfortable with their role. San Jose students from K-5 will become our visitors during this event. Since two classes at a time are scheduled to come, your child will present approximately to 60 people a day. Even though your child has presented in front of their peers multiple times this year, I am sure they will be nervous in front of others but your child will have your support and encouragement to carry them through.

SCIENCE PROJECTS REMINDER

Please remember to ALWAYS view your child's SCIENCE Notebook with ALL the information on their Sciene Project. THEY SHOULD BE AT THE EXPERIMENTAL STAGE by now. All the data needs to be collected during their experimental. Everything is required to be measured in the METRIC system.

PLEASE make sure your child has a notebook as a journal for their project as well. This was addressed back in January, and it is REQUIRED.
